In-person guitar, bass, drums, vocals, songwriting and performance lessons in my professional Puyallup studio. Learn through real live music, performance and studio experience with professional recording and touring musician Sami Chohfi, not just exercises and backing tracks.
THIS ISN’T A TYPICAL MUSIC LESSON.
My students don’t just sit in a room and run exercises. They learn by making real music.
Whether you’re studying guitar, bass, drums or vocals, you’ll have the opportunity to play live with me and learn how musicians actually interact — timing, dynamics, listening, confidence and performance.
We work on complete songs, not just isolated techniques. As students progress, I also give them opportunities to record in the studio, so they can hear their growth and experience what it feels like to create something real.
My goal is bigger than teaching someone how to play an instrument. I want to help develop the next generation of artists.

Students can focus on one instrument or grow across several areas over time. Because lessons take place in a fully equipped working studio, we can move beyond traditional instruction and into real musical situations — playing together, building complete songs, developing stage confidence, learning how different instruments work together, and recording performances as students progress.
LEARN BY PLAYING
Students don’t just learn about music — they make it.
During lessons, I can step onto guitar, bass, drums or vocals so students experience what it feels like to play with another musician in real time.
That means learning to listen, stay in time, react, communicate and perform — skills that are difficult to develop by practicing alone.
The goal is to turn practice into musicianship.

I’m a professional singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, recording artist and international touring performer. I bring real-world experience from writing, recording and performing into every lesson.
Students learn more than technique. We work on the things musicians actually need — timing, listening, confidence, stage presence, songwriting, recording and how to play with other people.

Lessons take place one-on-one in my fully equipped private music studio in Puyallup, serving students from Puyallup, South Hill, Bonney Lake, Tacoma, Sumner and surrounding areas.
Lessons are customized around each student’s experience, musical interests and goals. Beginners are welcome, as are experienced musicians looking to improve their performance, songwriting or overall musicianship.

THE STUDIO EXPERIENCE
TRAIN IN A REAL WORKING STUDIO
Lessons take place in my fully equipped Puyallup studio, where students can move from learning an instrument to playing complete songs, performing with another musician, and recording their progress.
Guitars, basses, drums, keyboards, microphones, professional recording equipment and a full rehearsal setup are all part of the experience.
This is where practice becomes music.
